Geordie Campbell's Fall 2026 'Rough Pointe' Collection: Ballet Meets Boxing | Fashion 2026 Trends (2026)

Armed with a graceful, hard-edged energy, Emerging Designer Geordie Campbell’s En Pointe line tests the boundaries for fall 2026. Drawing inspiration from the daring, almost humorously exaggerated silhouettes of the 1980s, along with boxing and ballet motifs, Campbell’s latest collection delivers a surprising, shapely punch.

“The brand lives at the crossroads of femininity and masculinity, exploring where one can coexist,” Campbell explains. True to that idea, the collection titled “Rough Pointe” features an eclectic mix: pointelle tops paired with tiny floral prints, delicate tulle tutus, and dupion silk boxer shorts sit alongside rugged denim button-ups and laser-etched jeans.

A revisit to the film Billy Elliot—the story of a boy who gravitates to ballet after shunning boxing—served as the collection’s spark. Yet Campbell also infuses it with personal resonance.

When he was growing up, his school offered a ballet extracurricular that he longed to join. Although his parents didn’t permit it, he remembers watching peers head to class in tutus and knit tops that laced and tied at the sides—an image that stuck with him as a source of charm and inspiration.

That nostalgia appears in knit wrap tops, trousers with delicate tulle frill detailing, and a cheeky T-shirt bearing the phrase “Glory Boy.” It’s a contemporary twist on the brand’s signature looks, echoing the popular British Boy motif and its star-and-asterisk branding.

Campbell notes that his direct-to-consumer model remains robust, which encouraged him to expand wholesale ambitions this season. After listening to buyers’ feedback from the prior collection, he broadened the lineup to 52 pieces—his largest capsule to date.

The rollout began with a look book styled by Alex Kessler, deputy editor of i-D, and Campbell will showcase the collection to buyers in a showroom during Paris Fashion Week for men's wear in June.

But here's where it gets controversial: some may question whether blending ballet’s elegance with boxing’s grit dilutes the essence of either sport. Others might argue it’s a fearless celebration of ambiguity in fashion. Do you think this juxtaposition can redefine gendered style, or does it blur too many lines? Share your take in the comments.
